The AIKOL Chapter of the IIUM Alumni was first initiated by Dr Mohd Iqbal Abdul Wahab. The present Co-ordinator is Bro Naim bin Mat, an alumnus now teaching in the Kulliyyah. From its inception in 2007 till now, the AIKOL Chapter is committed in highlighting issues of contemporary importance concerning alumni welfare and development.

The underlying aim for the establishment of the AIKOL Chapter is to promote a cohesive networking between alumni members and to strengthen collaboration between the Alumni and AIKOL. The AIKOL Chapter was to be the catalyst to help foster closer relationship not only between alumni members but also between members and students currently studying in AIKOL; in activities inside and outside campus.

The AIKOL Chapter endeavours to act as a bridge between AIKOL and Alumni members, developing stronger networking, closer ties and cooperation; thus help creating emotional connection that will trigger a sense of belonging and promote a sense of loyalty to the alma mater.

The AIKOL Chapter of IIUM Alumni is aiming for keeping and updating of AIKOL alumni records for IIUM on more than 40,000 of its graduates, former students and friends of the IIUM locally and internationally. AIKOL graduates can register update and locate an alumnus in the Online Directory.

And of course we can gather or keep in touch with one another. Where, when and how often we meet in a year depends on requests of members.

We shall at least be organising the home coming dinner and the law grads dinner once a year.
