The Finance Department of the Centre for Foundation Studies is an extension of the Finance Division of the Main Campus, specially designed to cater to Foundation students’ needs. The Finance Department, amongst other duties, handles accounts, budgets, staff and student payments.
The Finance Department is involved in :
- planning the framework of the financial system at the Centre for Foundation Studies
- analyzing and evaluating financial information, and determining implementation within the framework of budget and cost savings
- developing financial information systems, so information is accurate, up-to-date and easily assessed
- organizing and arranging the Centre’s funds in acquiring assets ensuring internal controls within the Department and throughout the Centre
The Finance Department adheres to the Mission Statement of the Finance Division, thereby offering quality financial services aimed at customer satisfaction, in line with IIUM’s Quality Policy. The management and all staff are committed to the quality management system based on ISO 9001:2000 requirements to ensure customer satisfaction and for continual service improvement.
As for student disbursements, the Government’s objective of providing scholarships is implemented for all students. Students are required to pay minimum fees each semester. These fees are to be settled at least fourteen (14) days before the final examination commences. The Statement of Fees is attached as guidance.

- Tuition fee is RM150/credit hour for Science-based students and RM100/credit hour for Art-based students.

- English Language is RM600.00 and Arabic Language is RM500.00 once taken.
- English for Academic Purpose / EAP (offered only for MEDIC, PMACY, DENTI and NUS) at RM600.00 (to be paid once for the whole foundation program)
- Personal Bond will depend on the country of origin of the student.
- Computer Examination fee is RM150 (to be paid once for the whole foundation program)
- Fundamental Islamic Studies (FIM) fee is RM100 (to be paid once for the whole foundation program)
- Cost of getting Visa shall be borne by the student.

PERSONAL BOND ***
All International students are required to pay a personal bond at the point of enrolment, which is refundable upon completion of studies. The rate of the personal bond varies by country as stipulated by the Malaysian Immigration Authority.

PAYMENT PROCEDURE
- Students must settle the entrance fee before registration.
- All payments must be made into our Bank Muamalat Malaysia Berhad (BMMB) account No. 1205-00030217-13 by using the Pusat Asasi UIAM, Petaling Jaya bank in slip ONLY at any branch of Bank Muamalat Malaysia Berhad (BMMB). Students are required to make payment at the bank counter (please do not use any other method of transfer). No personal cheques or cash will be accepted on the registration day.

Students will receive two (2) copies of receipt after payment is settled:
- Student’s copy - To be kept by student.
- UIA’s copy - To be submitted on registration day.
- THE ENTRANCE FEES IS NON-REFUNDABLE.

Students are compulsory to open One Reach Saving Account (18 years and above) or Al-Wadiah saving account (below 18 years) at any branch of Bank Muamalat Malaysia Berhad (BMMB) BEFORE registration day. The following documents are required to be submitted at the bank for opening account :
- A copy of Mycard (both sides).
- RM 20.00 for bank deposit.
- A copy of Offer letter.
- Bank Muamalat Malaysia Berhad Customer Information Form .

Note: Malaysian student will receive financial assistance or ‘wang saku’ from Kementerian Pengajian Tinggi Malaysia and will be credited to Bank Muamalat Malaysia Berhad (BMMB) One Reach Saving Account or Al-Wadiah saving account.
