PostGraduate Diploma Protective Security Management (PGDPSM)

As part of our charter towards promoting life-long learning not only for professionals but also for supporting staffs, we wish to take this opportunity to introduce Postgraduate Program in Protective Security Management (endorsed by the Chief Government Security Office (CGSO), Prime Minister Department).
The aims of the CGSO Professional Programme (Diploma in Protective Security) are to educate and train a new level of professionals and managers who can effectively manage national regional security risk and achieve an international standard of security education and training patterned after farming courses from leading countries in security education.
PROGRAMME STRUCTURE
at the end of the programmes, students should be able to:
- demonstrate knowledge, understanding and apply protective security principles and process into their role as security professionals.
- develop awareness on the concept of starategic, operational and tactical thinking and their importance within the scope of protective security management framework.
- demonstrate knowledge, understanding and application of the due legal process and the key elements associated with security threats and incidences within the relevant legal framework and countermeasures.
- demonstrate effective communication and teamwork skills as practise professional and ethical values in performing their role as security professionals.
- initiate lifelong learning by acquiring qualification for further degree and engaging in societal initiatives leading to the establishment of national level association dealing with protective security standards and professionals practices.
