Overview of the Course. 

 

SEM is a multivariate technique used to analyze hypothesized relationship specified on theoretical or empirical evidences, and transformed into path diagrams  SEM’s graphical features not only allow for the analyses of latent factors just like in the regression analysis but also permit modification of theoretical models to capture varying interrelationships. SEM provides relative versatility when compared to other multivariate techniques as it allows for simultaneously interdependent relationship between variables. In addition to capturing stochastic error term both at the individual indicator and latent construct levels, SEM is also capable of numerous analyses on various data types and estimation techniques.
