Mentor-Mentee Programme for Undergraduate Students

Printer-friendly versionSend by email

Assalamualaikum wbt,

Starting from Semester 1 2017/2018, Kulliyyah of Engineering proudly presents Mentor-Mentee Programme between all lecturers (Mentors) and all undergraduate students (Mentees).

This Mentor-Mentee programme is introduced to our Kulliyyah due to the spirit of helping, guiding, coaching and mentoring of students by our academic staff who desirably plays their role as Murobbi.

Other than academic related matters, the focus of this programme is expanded to include personal, professional, and extracurricular issues.

Ideally, all mentees should see their mentors 4 times per semester. Meeting can be conducted based on individual or group. Group activities in/out campus are highly recommended.

Monitoring and reporting of Mentor-Mentee activities will be done online, particularly using Google form. The link to each programme/department will be posted soon.

The FIRST meeting of Mentor-Mentee Programme has been arranged to be held in the second week of the semester where this is the GOLDEN OPPURTUNITY to meet your Mentors/Mentees in Meet & Greet session. Attendance is COMPULSORY.

Random grouping has been assigned by Mentor-Mentee Technical Secretariat, led by ODDSA. Here are the list of Mentor-Mentee programmes by programme/department (excluding new students registered in Sem 1 2107/2018). Updated list will be posted by Week 2 of the semester.

By implementing this programme, it is expected that the students growth and development (academically, professionally and spiritually) will be maximised. On the other hand, this programme will support the development of Mentor as Murobbi.

Last but not least, we wish all the best to everyone and hopefully this programme will lead us to be a better person.

Thanks and regards,
Assoc Prof Dr Hasmah Mansor
Deputy Dean Students Affairs
(On behalf of Mentor-Mentee Secretariat)
