Programme Description
Learning Outcome
Upon completion, students would be able to understand the principles, rules and practices of Islamic financial institutions. Moreover, students would be able to relate theories of Islamic banking and finance to economics, finance, accounting, management, law, Shari’ah,information technology and other related disciplines.
Programme Structure
A candidate should complete 10 courses of 3 credit hours each, for a total equivalent to 30 credit hours plus
(a) A dissertation that is equivalent to 12 credit hours or
(b) 6 credit hours of coursework and a research paper that are equivalent to 12 credit hours.
Students must attend 5 core courses and 5 other courses from the listed number of elective courses. Total credit hours upon graduation will be 42 credit hours.

Full-Time – 3 semesters (1 1/2 year)

Entry Requirements
- Good bachelor degree or equivalent professional qualification; and
- Proficient in English Language (IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL 550) or the IIUM administered English Placement Test (EPT)
