The department is responsible for the following:
- Design, planning and maintaining IIUM campus network backbone as a whole, including campus wide internet access and Virtual Private Network (VPN).
- Campus Wide Wireless Network
- IP address assignment.
- Core router configurations.
- Network protocol and Quality of Services implementations.
- Installation of Local Area Network equipment, Ethernet and fiber.
