The Kulliyyah of Medicine is accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA). Accreditation from this entity is a nationwide seal of approval that indicates a quality assurance of higher education for both the public and the private sectors. The Kulliyyah earned a full five-year accreditation in November 2001.
Quality Day Awards
The Kulliyyah was awarded the Quality Award for Client and Service by IIUM in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006. In 2006, we won the Overall Best Agency Award, First Place and double accolades for 2007 by winning both the First Place Quality Agency Award (Academic) and Quality Customer Service Award (University Level).
The Kulliyyah won Second Place in 2008 and 2009 in the Quality Agency Awards (Academic), and won First Place in the 2010 & 2011 Quality Agency Awards (Academic) at University level.
In 2012, the Kulliyyah repeated its double accolades by winning both the First Place Quality Agency Award (Academic) and Quality Customer Service Award (University Level) at IIUM Quality Day on 28 June 2012. In 2013, the Kulliyyah won the IIUM Agency Award 2013 (Academic) on 14 March 2013, making it the first Kulliyyah to win the award for fourth consecutive years.
Certification
2 March 2012: The Department of Basic Medical Sciences, Kulliyyah of Medicine received two certifications of compliance in OHSAS 18001: 2007 & MS 1722: Part 1: 2005 for Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems (Requirements) from SIRIM-QAS International.
