Kulliyyah of Medicine won the First Place Quality Agency Award (Academic) and Quality Customer Service Award 2012 at the IIUM Quality Day on 28 June 2012. The award was presented by IIUM President Tan Sri Mohd Sidek Hassan at the Cultural Activity Centre (CAC), IIUM main campus in Gombak. The Hon. Rector Dato Sri Dr Zaleha Kamaruddin presented the achievement and the University's performance for 2011 and the future plans of IIUM.

The Kulliyyah was awarded the Quality Award for Client and Service by IIUM in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006. In 2006, the Kulliyyah won the Overall Best Agency Award, First Place and double accolades for 2007 by winning both the First Place Quality Agency Award (Academic) and Quality Customer Service Award (University Level).

The Kulliyyah won Second Place in 2008 and 2009 in the Quality Agency Awards (Academic), and won First Place in the 2010 & 2011 Quality Agency Awards (Academic) at University level. The winning of the Quality Agency Awards (Academic) 2012 made Kulliyyah of Medicine as the first kulliyyah to win the award for three consecutive years.

The theme for this year Quality Day is " Quality with a Soul".
