BACKGROUND AND MISSION OF THE GAMES

The IIUM Staff Games is a university level sports meet and conducted yearly to select athletes among staff to represent IIUM team for the annual Inter-Varsity Staff Games. The games had being successfully organized in previous years and was competed between Campuses, Division and Kulliyahrepresented by their respective staff.

  The purposeof this tournament are to develop sports among IIUM staff, which is more focusing on the sports contested in the annual Inter-Varsity Staff Games, optional and popular sports among staff. It will encourage and motivate more talented staff to take part in the various events in order to produce quality athletesto represent IIUM Staff Team as well as to inculcate healthy lifestyle as a culture in IIUM.

OBJECTIVES

• To select talented and distinguishedstaff to represent IIUM for the  37thInter-Varsity Staff Games 2012 at UUM, Sintok, Kedah.
• To compete healthily among colleagues of different Campuses /Divisions/ Kulliyah/ Centre.
• To inculcate healthy lifestyles as a culture among IIUM staff
• To enhance the spirit of ‘ukhuwwah’, improves teamwork and cooperation among IIUM staff.
