UNITS FUNCTION
 

1)  VEHICLE MANAGEMENT UNIT (VMU)

  • Manage booking of university vehicles
  • Manage Maintenance of university vehicles
  • Manage shuttle buses
  • Record usage of transportation
  • Manage road tax and motor vehicle Insurance
  • Assist in vehicle purchasing

2)   ADMINISTRATION AND QUALITY UNIT (AQU)
 
  • Responsible for staffing requirement
  • In charge of staff training and development
  • Plan, Monitor and control operating budget
  • Responsible for staff welfare
  • Manage general administration of STADD Office which include:

    i)   Office cleanliness and  environment

    ii)  stationeries

    iii) safety and security of the office

     
  • Organise division’s special programme i.e.: Client’s Day, Eid Gathering, Health and Wellness Programme, Motivational and Spiritual Enhancement Programme and etc.
  • Responsible for all matters pertaining to quality
  • Secretariat for:

    i)   Council of Principals and Fellows

    ii)  Training for Principals and Fellows

    iii)  Selection and appointment of Principals and Fellows

    iv)  STADD Safety and Health Committee

     
 

3) WELFARE MANAGEMENT UNIT (WMU)

The services provided by Welfare Management Unit are:

  • Khairat and Financial Assistance.
  • Insurance Coverage and Claims for IIUM students (Malaysian and International students).
  • Sick Students and Hospitalized.
  • Student Assistantship Programme (SAP) and Scheme of Apprenticeship for Graduate Assistant.
  • Coordinate and Manage Death of Students.

 

1. Khairat / Financial Assistance

To assist students who are in dire need of financial assistance and who face difficulties while they are studying in IIUM.

-Parents income less than RM 3000.00 / Had Kifayah

Assistance for sick student (hospitalized)

Victim of natural calamities / emergency cases e.g. fire/landslide/flood/etc.

2. Insurance Coverage and Claims

i) Malaysia Students

  - Group Personal Accident (GPA) only:

All IIUM Malaysian students are insured under the Group Personal Accident Insurance by Syarikat Takaful (M) Bhd. via our insurance broker, Willis (M) Sdn. Bhd.  Insurance will be paid to students for cases such as bodily injury and death caused by accidental means.

Required Documents:

  • Personal Accident Takaful Claim Form duly completed ( GPA form - Personal Accident Takaful Claim Form.pdf & STUDENT PERSONAL DETAILS
  • Copy of Identity Card
  • Copy of Police Report
  • Copy of Medical Report (If any)
  • Copy of Medical Specialist Report (If any)
  • Copy of Death Certificate (for fatal accident only)
  • Copy of Post Mortem Report (if any)
  • Medical Certificate (Original)
  • Medical Bills/Receipt (Original)
  • Copy of Matric Card

 

ii) International Students

  • All IIUM International students are insured under Etiqa Takaful Berhad.
  • This scheme is compulsory to all international students who are studying in Malaysian University as instructed by Ministry of Education, with the minimum requirement that they should pay RM400.00 per year for the coverage.
  • The coverage are:

                                1.            Group Personal Accident (GPA)

                                2.            Group Term Life (GTL)

                                3.            Group Hospital and Surgical (GHS)

                                                - Third Party Administrator: Mediexpress (M) Sdn. Bhd. (IIUM Flyers-Group Takaful Medical Plain for Int Students)

3. Student Assistantship Programme (SAP) / Scheme of Apprenticeship for Graduate Assistants

Students can obtain information pertaining to part-time employment in the campus through advertisement at K/C/D/I/U

  • Scheme of Apprenticeship for Graduate Assistants – for PG students only
