Faizah Idrus worked as an English teacher for five years before joining the Centre for Languages, The International Islamic University (IIUM) as a lecturer in 1998. She joined the Kulliyyah of Education upon completion of her Ph.D. She teaches the undergraduate and post graduate courses in the Department of Language and Literacy, KOED for TESL programme. She also supervises Mastera??s and Ph.D students. In 2007, she won a medal for the most promising researcher in CELPAD. In 2012, she won the bronze medal in the IRIIE. Presently, she is the Head of Research, Kulliyyah of Education.
