Haniza Khalid obtained her B. Economics (Hons) from IIUM, M. Economics from UKM and her Ph.D. from the University of Nottingham, UK. The title of her thesis was a??An Econometric Analysis of the Effects of Institutions and Economic Transformation on Agricultural Land Prices: Case of Malaysiaa??. Accordingly, her research interests include role of institutions and market forces in determining a societya??s development path as well as its rate of progress.
