IIUMLIB FAQ
Following the Malaysian Government’s announcement on the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) and IIUM Limited Mobility Guidelines to reduce close contact to avoid the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, Dar Al-Hikmah Library will be closed its operational hours to ensure the health and safety of our users and staff. Hence, listed below the most frequent questions from our users:
1- How the Library’s “Collect & Go” works?
2- Are there any library resources I can use while campus libraries are closed?
Yes. The Library provides a wide array of digital offerings, including online databases and e-books. These can be accessed from https://login.ezlib.iium.edu.my/login/ using library barcode number and 6 digit PIN.
3- What if my borrowed items are due? Will I accrue late fees?
The due dates for all borrowed items will be extended until further notice. No late fees should accrue on items that were originally due during the closure period.
4- Can I drop off my borrowed items using Dar al-Hikmah Smart BookDrop?
Yes, you can do so, however, it is encouraged to always stay at home/mahallah during this time.
5- What if some of my holds are ready for pick up?
Holds that are listed as ready for pick-up will be held at the campus libraries after we reopen.
6- Why can’t I place new holds through the library OPAC?
Staff are unable to process holds on items while campus libraries are closed, so to avoid a backlog, we are temporarily disabling holds on physical items.
7- My library membership is about to expire. How can I renew?
The membership renewal will be processed right after we reopen.
8- I have a question about my account? Is there anyone that can help me?
If you have any questions about your account or anything about library services, you may use 2 (two) platform below to reach us:

11- What is the Library Barcode number? And how do I get it?
