Expert Profile


Dr Noriah Ramli is a law lecturer at the Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws, IIUM. She is also, at present, the Deputy Director, International Halal Audit and Certification at International Institute for Halal Research and Training (INHART). She is, at present, supervising Master's and Ph.D students in Halal Industry Management at INHART.
Currently, she is pursuing research on Islamization of Human Knowledge and Its Application: Legal and Administrative Requirements in Shari'ah Compliant Hospitality Services (Nrgs 13001000, MOE). She is also on the technical committee for the Malaysian Standard (MS) 2016:2015 Muslim Friendly Hospitality Services-Requirements.
Dr Noriah Ramli is also involved in the development of Training Modules for Muslim Friendly Hospitality Services which among others are Muslim Friendly Tour Guide, Muslim Friendly Awareness Programme and Muslim Friendly Intermediate Programme.
Besides teaching, she is also a trainer for INHART training programmes and on the MQA Panel for Halal related courses offered by several IPTAs and IPTs.
