Expert Profile


Dr. Shafizan completed her B.A in Multimedia Management at the Multimedia University (MMU), Malaysia in 2003, then pursued her M.A. in Organizational Communication at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) and completed it in 2005.
She is currently a lecturer in IIUM. Her research interest revolves around the effects of new media technologies which includes online public spheres, the Internet and online communities and online social movement. Her Ph.D was on the cultural dimension of online alternative media in Malaysia- focusing mainly on political blogging. She has presented research papers in numerous local and international conferences.
