Expert Profile
Dr. Fitri Yusof is a researcher and expert in the field of fish genetics and breeding. He obtained his Ph.D. in Fish Genetics and Breeding from Graduate School of Agriculture at Tohoku University in 2016.
He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology with a specialization in Genetics from the National University of Malaysia in 2008. Building upon his foundational knowledge, he pursued a Master of Science in Animal Science from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) in 2012, focusing on fish molecular genetics.
Throughout his academic and professional career, Dr. Fitri has been dedicated to advancing the understanding of molecular mechanisms in aquatic organisms, particularly freshwater fish. His research focuses on employing cutting-edge molecular techniques to elucidate genetic factors influencing traits relevant to fish breeding programs, with the ultimate goal of enhancing the productivity and sustainability of aquaculture practices.
