TRANSFORMATION OUTCOMES

Upon completion of the project modules, the following outcomes are expected to be materialized:

Mentees are able to:

  • Understand and adopt the positive values as Anak Dunia with world mindset but with strong adoption of local values
  • Become more civic minded
  • Respect others from different backgrounds
  • Develop knowledge, skills and positive attitude to become a good teenager
  • To love reading

Mentors are able to:

  • Enhance the sense of responsibility to the society
  • Become more patriotic with ummatic mission
  • Share knowledge and skills with others
  • Inculcate and coach positive values
  • Gain various skills on project management, mentoring, facilitating, communication
  • IIUM will be seen as an engaged university in the eyes of the community

ACTIVITIES

Training for mentors

Mentors are trained on the following skills and knowledge

  • Child rights
  • National Education Phylosophy
  • Mentoring skills
  • Facilitating skills
  • Counselling skills

Mentoring

  • 2 mentors: 3 mentee mentoring activities
  • Individual counselling

Coaching

  • Academic coaching 
  • Spiritual coaching for muslim mentees
  • Civic coaching for non muslim mentees

Educational visits

  • Visits to selected places

Mass gathering

Half-day mass activities involving all mentees and mentors to enable the mentees develop friendship with other mentees from different schools.
