Azean Idruwani Idrus obtained her Diploma in Malay Language from the University of Malaya in 1998, a Bachelor’s degree in Malay Language and Linguistics from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) in 2003, a Master of Arts in Malay Language from Universiti Putra Malaysia, Serdang in 2007, and a PhD in Malay Language (Discourse Analysis) from Universiti Putra Malaysia in 2018.Azean Idruwani Idrus is currently serving as an Assistant Professor of International Communication (Malay Language) at the Kulliyyah of Languages and Management, International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), Pagoh Education Hub, Johor, since 8 November 2020. Previously, she served as a Senior Lecturer for 15 years at Nilai University, Negeri Sembilan, and prior to that, as a Senior Editor at Pelangi Publishing Group Sdn. Bhd. She holds the positions of Head of Responsible Research and Innovation, Internship Coordinator, and currently serves as the Assistant of Head Department (Malay Language Department). She possesses a wide range of professional skills in the field of Malay Studies. Her expertise includes supervising research projects and theses for both undergraduate and postgraduate students, demonstrating strong academic guidance and mentorship abilities. She is also actively involved in planning and teaching various subjects related to Malay Studies, ensuring that her teaching methods are engaging, systematic, and aligned with current educational needs.In addition, she serves as a reviewer and editor for research articles, reflecting her commitment to academic excellence and quality assurance in scholarly publications. Her strong command of the Malay language and linguistic knowledge further enhances her capability in this area. She is also an accomplished writer who has produced numerous books and articles across various genres within the field of Malay Studies, showcasing her versatility and contribution to the development and dissemination of Malay language and culture.
