Expert Profile
Engku Haliza Engku Ibrahim is an Associate Professor at the English Language Division of the Centre for Languages and Pre-University Academic Development. She has taught all levels of English proficiency classes including English for Academic Writing. She has also taught Semantics, Linguistics, Sociolinguistics and Research Methodology.
Her main areas of research interests are second language vocabulary acquisition and reading in the second language classroom. She is also interested in Sociolinguistics, problem-based learning and the general area of second language acquisition. She is also a panel assessor for the Malaysian Qualifications Agency. Currently, she is the Dean of the Centre for Languages and Pre-University Academic Development.

She is also interested in Sociolinguistics, problem-based learning and the general area of second language acquisition. She is also a panel assessor for the Malaysian Qualifications Agency.
