Expert Profile


Azura is a lecturer at the Kulliyyah of Economics and Management Sciences, International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). Her principal research interests have been in the area of diversity and management, entrepreneurial training and education, and qualitative research. Following her doctoral training at UMIST, she worked as a Senior Researcher at the Centre for Diversity and Work Psychology at Manchester Business School of the University of Manchester, investigating problems facing Black and Ethnic Minority entrepreneurial women and men in the Northwest of England.
She was also a volunteer member of the steering group committee for the Faith and Enterprise for Muslim Women, a project funded by SEDI of Manchester (Social Enterprise Development Initiative), ESF and the UK Islamic Mission. She is also an active reviewer for several international journals (such as Women in Management Review, Career Development International and Qualitative Market Research).
