Expert Profile


Intan Zanariah Zakaria obtained her B. Econ from IIUM, M.A. Economics from York University, Toronto Canada and PhD degrees from University of Leicester, U.K. Upon completion of her PhD she returned to Malaysia in November 2013 to continue serving Department of Economics, Kulliyyah of Economics and Management Sciences, IIUM as an Assistant Professor. She specializes in endogenous growth theory and population economics. Her work has been published in very reputable journals such as Journal of Population Economics and Review of Development Economics. In February 2017, she has been appointed as a research fellow of Centre of Islamic Economics (CIE), IIUM.
