Muhammad Muzaffar Ali Khan Khattak obtained his B.Sc. (Hons) in 1984, M.Sc. (Hons) in 1986 from NWFP, Agricultural University Peshawar, Pakistan in Human Nutrition. He received his Ph.D in 1995 from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne, England, in Human Nutrition. For his outstanding performance among the undergraduates and postgraduates he was awarded a Ph.D scholarship from the Government of Pakistan and USAID scholarships in 1989. Upon completion of his Ph.D, he returned to Pakistan in March 1995 and joined in the Ministry of Agriculture after which he was appointed as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Human Nutrition, NWFP, Agricultural University Peshawar. He joined the Department of Nutrition Sciences, Kulliyyah of Allied Health Sciences, in November, 2005.
Dr. Muzaffar Khattak's specialty is Human Nutrition, and main area of research is nutrition & diabetes and he has also worked on adipokines, obesity, hyperlipidaemia and nutritional status assessment.
