Expert Profile


Dr. Norun Farihah Abdul Malek received her Bachelor degree in Communication Engineering (with Honours) from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), Kuala Lumpur in 2006. Later, she was appointed as an Assistant Lecturer at the same university and pursued her Master's degree in Digital Communication Systems at Loughborough University in 2007. Gaining an interest in the academic field, she worked for her PhD with the same university once she completed her MSc. She obtained PhD in Communication Engineering in 2013 and later was appointed as an Assistant Professor at IIUM. She continues to serve as a lecturer in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. She did her attachment with Intel Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. under MOHE-Intel Elite Internship Program 2020. She has secured many grants with total amount upto MYR500K. She has been awarded IEEE Volunteer Award 2021 by IEEE AP/MTT/EMC Malaysia Joint Chapter Society. Her research interest includes antenna and propagation, signal processing particularly of antenna arrays, algorithms and wireless communication systems.
