Expert Profile


Siti Halimah Bux @ Jasmin bt. Shaikh Rahman Bux obtained her Bachelor of Pharmacy degree (Hons) from University Science Malaysia 1980. Upon completion of one year pupilage at Hospital Kuala Lumpur and the National Pharmaceutical Control Bureau, Petaling Jaya, she was posted to Hospital Kuantan as a registered pharmacist in 1981.
She was the Head of the Out-patient Department at Hospital Kuantan (now Hospital Tg. Ampuan Afzan) till 1985 when she left to open a community pharmacy operating a retail and wholesale business in Kuantan and participating in tenders offered by the Ministry of Health Malaysia.
In 2003, she was invited to be an honorary lecturer at the Kulliyyah of Pharmacy IIUM, Kuantan campus and eventually joined as a Senior Academic Fellow in October 2007.
She is also a certified smoking cessation service provider and was a consultancy team member of the IIUM Quit Smoking Clinic at Kuantan campus.A member of the Malaysian Pharmaceutical Society (MPS), she is active in the MPS Pahang Branch.
Currently, she is also the managing director of Aneka Farmasi Sdn. Bhd. which is solely involved in the trading of pharmaceutical products.
