Engku Nuraishah Huda E. Zainudin obtained his BSc Biomedicine (Hon), from Management Science University (MSU) Malaysia. Right after graduation, she worked as assistant researcher in microbiology unit in MSU. She pursued her master study at Kulliyyah of Medicine in the field of Microbiology for two years. She was the recipient of 'Best student award' during her master degree convocation, in 2009. During her master candidature, she was then appointed as an assistant lecturer at Kulliyyah of Pharmacy, International Islamic University Malaysia. She continued to enrol PhD program in Molecular Microbiology at the Department of Microbiology and Immunology,University of Melbourne, Australia and graduated in 2017. Her doctoral research is on the virulence factors of Legionella pneumophila. Her PhD research has provided deeper insight into the genes that contribute to the ability of L. pneumophila to replicate in eukaryotic cells and cause disease. She continues her interest in bacteriology 'intracellular pathogen', expending her research into various other branch of microbiology with wide cooperation with other microbiologist in the campus. She is actively involved in research entitled 'Islamization of microbiology concept' which is sponsored by the RIGS grant. Â
