Expert Profile


Assistant Prof Dr. Zahurin binti Halim, a graduate of University Science Malaysia, Perak Campus, started her career as a research assistant at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University Technology MARA (UiTM), Shah Alam in 1991. She was appointed as a lecturer in 1993 and senior lecturer in 1995 at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.
She obtained the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Advanced Materials Engineering from University Putra Malaysia in 2003 and was appointed as the Head of Programme, Diploma of Mechanical Engineering (Manufacturing) (EM111) from April 2003 till January 2005.
From February 2005 till December 2006, she was appointed as the Head of Programme, Masters and Ph.D of Mechanical Engineering and appointed as Principal of Melati and Teratai College in UiTM Shah Alam from January 2007 till June 2008. She joined IIUM in February 2009 and currently, she is attached as an Assistant Professor to the Department of Manufacturing and Materials Engineering, Kulliyyah of Engineering.
