Expert Profile


Nur Nadiah binti Mohd Rais obtained her Bachelor of Medical Imaging (Honours) from University Technology Mara (UiTM) in 2011. Throughout the duration of her studies, she maintained her academic achievement with dean's list GPA and finally graduated with 3.74 CGPA. This, in turn, made her eligible for the Best Student in Programme Award and Best Student in Faculty Award respectively. As an acknowledgement of the excellent academic achievements, she was eventually rewarded the " Tun Abdul Razak Award, Best UiTM Graduatefor the year 2011.
In the same year, she managed to secure the most prestigious Agong Scholarship to further her studies in University College London, United . At the same time, she was offered an Assistant Lecturer's position in International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). She completed her MSc in Physics and Engineering in Medicine in 2012 and returned to Malaysia to take up a lecturer's position in Kulliyyah of Allied Health Sciences, IIUM.
In February 2013, she won a silver medal in International Islamic University Malaysia Research, Invention and Innovation Exhibition 2013 (IRIIE 2013) through her MSc project entry entitled
"Distortion Correction of Diffusion Tensor Imaging of the Spinal Cord".Presently, Nur Nadiah is a lecturer at the Department of Diagnostic Imaging and Radiotherapy, IIUM and planning to pursue her Ph.D in the near future in the field of metal-based nanoparticles for in vivo tumor imaging.
