Mohd Faez bin Sharif obtained his Bachelor and Master's degree's from University Technology Malaysia, Skudai in Industrial Biotechnology and Biotechnology respectively. For his first degree, conducted research on effective microorganisms entitled "Study on Effect of the Effective Microorganisms (EM) on the Growth of Okra Plants, Hibiscus Esceluntus". For his Master's research, he did research on extraction and identification of selected polyphenol from palm oil mill effluent (POME).
Since his master's, his interest towards palm oil and its effluents products has grown. Hence, he continued his research at the Ph.D level to evaluate the health effects of palm oil fruits and its effluent, POME. In 2014, he was awarded a Ph.D in Animal Cell Biotechnology from University Putra Malaysia.
Presently, Dr. Mohd Faez is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Biotechnology, Kulliyah of Science.
