Expert Profile


Dr. Mazni Saad is the Head of Tourism Department at Kulliyyah of Languages and Management (KLM) in International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) in Education Hub Pagoh.  She was at first appointed as the Coordinator of Quality Unit for the KLM. At present, her rank is Assistant Professor and she is teaching tourism planning and hospitality management courses including research methodology.  She also able to teach business and management courses based on her past working experiences as she has more than a decade of experience in an electronic appliance industry. Her last post in the industry was a Quality Assurance Manager. Dr. Mazni is a Ph.D. graduate from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia in Hotel and Tourism Management. She obtained Master Degree from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) in Technology Management, specializing on Occupational Safety and Health. Her BSc Degree was in Tourism and Travel from Western Michigan University (WMU), USA. She completed her Safety and Health Officer courses and passed the exams from NIOSH. Besides, she attended ISO 9001 and 14001 courses and certified as competent auditors. Now, besides writing journal articles and books, she is actively collaborating research and grants, participating conferences and invention and innovation, and giving training to the public. She won several gold medals in innovation’s competition and obtained best paper awards from various conferences.
