Assistant Professor Dr. Mohamad Shafiq Mohd Ibrahim is currently an Assistant Professor of Biostatistics in the Department of Paediatric Dentistry and Dental Public Health at the Kulliyyah of Dentistry, International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). He is also serving as the Head of Responsible Research and Innovation at the Kulliyyah of Dentistry. He earned his PhD in Biostatistics from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) in 2018, and holds a BSc in Financial Mathematics (2012) and an MSc in Mathematics (2015) from Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT). Dr. Mohamad Shafiq’s teaching focuses on biostatistics, research methodology, and statistical research consultation. He has conducted numerous workshops on SPSS and statistical training sessions at IIUM, as well as at the School of Dental Sciences at USM and the School of Informatics and Mathematics at UMT. His research interests are centered on developing statistical methodologies in biostatistics and applied mathematics, particularly within healthcare-related fields. Dr. Mohamad Shafiq has authored over 50 articles in both local and international journals and has written more than five books on biostatistics and sample size calculation. Additionally, he is actively involved in interdisciplinary research, postgraduate supervision, and providing academic consultancy in statistical analysis within the dental and health sciences.
