Expert Profile

I joined the Department of Psychology, IIUM in 2019. I teach various subjects including Introduction to Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, and supervising undergraduate industrial training and final year project. My research area is adaptation and validation of psychological test and Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD). Currently, I am interested in the mindfulness with Islamic integration, especially in parenting process among parents with atypical children. Trained as a medical doctor and clinical psychologist, I am able to relate the physiological process of the human with the psychological disorders, which is useful when I am performing psychological assessment and psychotherapy. I am also a certified translator from Institut Terjemahan Buku Malaysia (ITBM) and interested in the translation of documents and books - fiction and non-fiction, for both general and academic audiences.
