Expert Profile
Redzuan Nul Hakim obtained the Master of Medical Science, from International Islamic University Malaysia, in 2013 and his PhD from the same university with a thesis entitled “The Toxicity Study of Aquilaria Malaccensis (Agarwood) Leaves Aqueous Extract on Male Reproductive System in Sprague Dawley Rats” in 2019. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Basic Medical Sciences for Nursing at the Kulliyyah of Nursing, International Islamic University Malaysia and permanent member of the Institute of Planetary Survival for Sustainable Well-being (PLANETIIUM). He is the Federation of European Laboratory Animal Science Associations FELASA Function B certified laboratory animal handler. He is a member of the Malaysian Society of Toxicology, the Malaysian Natural Products Society, the Pahang Biomedical Science Association, and Laboratory Animal Science Malaysia. Natural product analysis, reproductive and developmental toxicity, and reproductive biology are among his scientific interests. The focus of his current work includes assessing environmental and lifestyle influences on reproductive performance and detrimental effects of toxicants or natural products on maternal and foetal development. He is also focusing on developing medicinal efficacy studies on gaharu leaves for commercialization purpose.
