Dr. Mohammed Rafiq Moumen Elshobake is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Law, Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws (AIKOL). He joined the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) in November 2021 and he is teaching courses in the Department of Civil Law and the Department of Islamic Law. He has completed his Postdoctoral Fellowship at Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws (AIKOL) in October 2021. He obtained his Ph.D. in Law from Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws, International Islamic University Malaysia in 2019, and he won the award for Best student: Doctor of Philosophy (Law). He obtained a bachelor's degree in Shariah and Law (Islamic law & Civil law) from the Islamic University of Gaza with a grade of "Excellent with Honors". He also completed a master’s degree in Public Law from the Islamic University of Gaza with Excellent. He worked as a lecturer at several universities and colleges in Gaza, Palestine. He has published articles related to Islamic law & Civil law in local and international journals. Moreover, he has participated in many international research conferences. Dr. Elshobake has special research interests in the following fields: 1. Comparative Criminal Law. 2. International law including Public International Law, International Criminal Law, International Humanitarian Law, and International Human Rights Law. 3. Other branches of Public Law including Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, and Financial Law and Taxation. 4. Legal practice in relation to Criminal Procedures and Alternative Dispute Resolution. 5. Islamic law including Fiqh, Usul Al-Fiqh, Maqasid Al-Shariah, Islamic Criminal law, Family law, Zakat, Waqf and Quran sciences.
