Dr. Redzuan Nul Hakim Abdul Razak is a permanent academic member of the Institute of Planetary Survival for Sustainable Well-being (PLANETIIUM), International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). He serves as the Deputy Director of PLANETIIUM, leading research and initiatives that connect environmental sustainability, reproductive health, and community well-being.
He obtained his Master of Medical Science in 2013 and completed his PhD in 2019, focusing on the reproductive toxicity of Aquilaria malaccensis leaves. His research background is in reproductive and developmental toxicology, with strong experience in laboratory animal research and experimental design. He is a FELASA Function B-certified laboratory animal handler.
Dr. Redzuan’s research focuses on the reproductive effects of environmental pollutants, particularly microplastics, safety and medicinal potential of natural products, especially Aquilaria malaccensis, sustainable and biodegradable innovations related to reproductive health, planetary health and the link between environment and human fertility.
He is actively involved in both laboratory-based research and community engagement. His work includes promoting the safe use of herbal products, raising awareness on pollution and reproductive health, and supporting sustainable agriculture initiatives such as regenerative farming.
He is a member of several professional societies, including the Malaysian Society of Toxicology (MySOT), Malaysian Natural Products Society (MNPS), and Laboratory Animal Science Malaysia (LASAM).
