Expert Profile
Noor Afzarini Hasnita Ismail's background is in clinical audiology. She obtained her MClin Aud from University of Melbourne, Australia in 2011 and BAud (Hons) from International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) in 2008. She started her career as an Assistant Lecturer in IIUM in 2009 and was appointed as lecturer in 2012. Her research interests include improving services delivered in audiology, impact of hearing loss, paediatric audiology, hearing aid intake and hearing aid benefit, hearing loss related to noise exposure and cortical auditory evoked potential (CAEP).
In 2013, she won a bronze medal in the International Research, Invention and Innovation Exhibition - IRIIE 2013 for her research entitled "Cortical Auditory Evoked Potential Maturation in Children Aged 6 to 12 Years Old". The same study was also presented in the 3rd Malaysian Audiology Scientific Conference (Masco) in 2014.
