Expert Profile


Asst. Prof. Dr. Dhamirah Nazihah Mohd Nasiruddin is a Consultant Haematopathologist, Medical Lecturer, and Quality Manager with over a decade of clinical and academic experience. She recently completed a prestigious Fellowship in Thrombosis and Haemostasis at The Royal London Hospital, UK (supported by EAHAD and ISTH grants), specializing in advanced diagnostics for bleeding and clotting disorders. Currently, she serves as the Head of the Haematology Unit and Quality Manager at the Department of Pathology, SASMEC @ IIUM, where she led the department’s successful transition to the ISO 15189:2022 standard. Her expertise includes digital morphology—serving as a champion for digitalization in pathology—and Al-supported haematological analysers. As a dedicated educator, she coordinates the Year 2 Haematology Block and trains the next generation of medical professionals in transfusion medicine and laboratory diagnostics.
