Expert Profile
Wan Rohaida Wan Husain obtained her postgraduate degrees in Operational Research from the University of Strathclyde, U.K., and the University of Warwick, U.K. While pursuing her PhD, she was a tutor for Quantitative Analysis for Management I, Quantitative Analysis for Management II, and Forecasting at Warwick Business School, the University of Warwick. Upon completion of her studies, she resumed her lecturing career at the Department of Business Administration, Kuliyyah of Economics & Management Sciences, IIUM. She specialises in Operational Research and teaches courses including Business Analytics for Decision Making, Decision Science, Operations Management, Quantitative Decision Making, Advanced Management Science, and Sustainable Operations Management & Strategy, at both undergraduate and post-graduate (Master's and PhD) levels. She actively leads, undertakes and supervises multidisciplinary research and consultancy projects, focusing on performance evaluation, benchmarking, best practices, waqf, small & medium enterprises (SMEs), as well as employing methodologies including Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA), Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), and Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). She is also committed to inclusive education, developing modules and creating learning opportunities for communities, including children with special needs. Her professional work integrates academic research with practical consultancy in Islamic finance, public sector performance, and social entrepreneurship.
