Dr. Muhammad Tahir Jan is an accomplished academic and dynamic educator, known for his innovative teaching methods and deep expertise in Marketing. With a PhD in Business Administration (Marketing) and an MBA, both earned with distinction, Dr. Jan has built an illustrious career that spans over 15 years, influencing both academia and industry on a global scale.   

Graduating Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s degree and being named the Best Student of the Year, Dr. Jan quickly established himself as a leader in his field. His academic journey was further distinguished by the Rector’s Scholarship awarded during his PhD for his outstanding research capabilities and high academic performance. His passion for knowledge extends beyond the classroom, where he has actively trained and inspired executives from renowned organizations. He has delivered impactful training sessions across a diverse range of countries, including Pakistan, Afghanistan, Malaysia, South Africa, UAE, Australia, the United States, Turkey, and Qatar.  

Dr. Jan’s research interests focus on consumer behavior, circular economy, and sustainability marketing, areas in which he has published over 60 articles in prestigious international indexed journals. His contributions to research have been recognized with multiple accolades, including the Best Researcher Award and the Best Indexed Journal Article Award. He has also shared his insights at more than 30 international conferences, earning him invitations as a keynote speaker at notable events worldwide.   

An advocate for innovative teaching, Dr. Jan is beloved by his students, consistently earning above 90% in student ratings every semester. His excellence in teaching has been acknowledged through the Best Teacher of the Year award multiple times. In 2018, his mentorship led to his recognition as IIUM's Top Young Supervisor, having successfully graduated more than 15 postgraduate students in a single year.   

Dr. Jan’s commitment to academia is further reflected in his roles as the Head of Responsible and Innovative ResearchAssociate Editor of an International Indexed JournalLeader of the Faculty’s Sustainable Development Project, and Member of the Curriculum Review Committee at the Faculty (Kulliyyah) of Economics and Management Sciences at IIUM. He is also a passionate content creator, running educational channels that reach a global audience, further extending his impact beyond traditional boundaries.
