Expert Profile
SITI SALWA BTE MD SAWARI is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Tourism, Kulliyyah of Sustainable Tourism and Contemporary Languages, International Islamic University Malaysia. She is also a member of the Muslim Young Shariah Scholars Association. Since 2018, she has been teaching Islamic Tourism to undergraduate students. Furthermore, she has accumulated experience as a speaker at various international conferences. Her current research areas encompass mosque tourism, spiritual tourism, Muslim-friendly tourism, tourism management, and tourist behavior. Moreover, SITI SALWA has contributed to the academic field by publishing chapters and journal articles on topics such as halal food, the halal industry, and tourism. She has presented her research findings at several international conferences. Currently, she holds the position of Programme Coordinator at the Kulliyyah of Sustainable Tourism and Contemporary Languages, International Islamic University Malaysia.
