Recently graduated as a Psychiatrist from the International Islamic University of Malaysia, Hijaz has been championing the importance of mental health education among the Malaysian public. He is heavily involved in psychoeducation talks around Malaysia, having been invited to many states such as Selangor, Melaka, Perak and Pahang. He is currently a lecturer in Psychiatry as well as serving the public as a clinical specialist in Psychiatry. He has a special interest in Addiction Psychiatry, and is planning to pursue his subspecialty in that field
