Expert Profile


IDr Ts Muhammad Amirruddin Shah is a transdisciplinary interior designer and technologist whose practice lies at the confluence of design, business and humanitarian innovation. His work incorporates computational design technologies to support innovative and social responsive built environments. He holds a Master of Architecture from RMIT University and an MBA and is currently pursuing a PhD in Business Management, with a forthcoming PhD in Architecture and Engineering. A board member of a humanitarian organisation, his work focuses on advancing resilience and post disaster reconstruction through design-led strategies. He has won numerous design competitions locally and internationally and lectures in advanced architecture. He advocates for the integration of critical design thinking, social impact, and sustainable development in the built environment in Malaysia.
