Expert Profile




  • Assoc. Prof. Dr. Siti Mariam Muda received her initial training in both nursing and midwifery from the Ministry of Health, Malaysia, in 1991 and 1995 respectively. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Nursing Science (with Honors) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in 2005 and subsequently worked at the Ministry of Health Malaysia until 2007. She joined IIUM and pursued a master's degree at Nottingham University, United Kingdom in 2007 and Ph.D. studies at Southern Cross University, Australia in 2009. Currently, she holds the position of senior lecturer at the Department of Special Care Nursing at the Kulliyyah of Nursing. She is a certified lactation counselor and the Leader of IIUM Flagship 3.0 Promoting Breastfeeding in Community. She is a principal of Mahallah Ummu Kalthum, Kuantan Campus, and is actively engaged with students' activity.
