Expert Profile
Dr. Abdurahim Okhunov, is a graduate of the Department of Radiation Physics, Faculty of Physics, Tashkent State University, Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
He started his career as a probationary researcher at the Institute of Nuclear Physics, Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, a researcher assistant at the Joint Institute of Nuclear Research, Dubna, Moscow region, Russia, and a senior scientific researcher at the Institute for Nuclear Physics, Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, Tashkent in 1996. He was appointed as a lecturer at the Department of Informatics and Information Technologies, University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED), Tashkent, Uzbekistan in 1998 and later as senior lecturer (UWED) in 2001. He was then Associate Professor, at the Department of Theoretical Physics, Faculty of Physics, National University of Uzbekistan, Tashkent, Uzbekistan (2006-2007).
He was appointed as Director of Academic Lyceum, Republic of Uzbekistan under the Tashkent Institute of Railway Engineering in 2007-2009. Dr. Abdurahim was a Visiting Research Fellow, Department of Physics, Faculty of Science, University of Malaya (UM), Kuala Lumpur, 2009-2010, and later as lecturer (UM).
Currently, he is attached as an Assistant Professor to the Department of Science in Engineering, and Dean of Kulliyyah of Engineering, IIUM.
