She holds a Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning (Honours) and a Master of Science in Built Environment from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). Before joining academia, she spent nearly four years as a strategic town planning practitioner, contributing to the preparation of statutory development plans, regional planning studies, feasibility studies, and development order applications for various local authorities in Malaysia. 

Her professional portfolio includes involvement in major planning projects such as the Special Area Plan for Genting Highlands, Special Area Plan for Pangkor Island, District Local Plan for Sepang Municipal Council, District Local Plan for Bandar Baharu District Council (Kedah), and the Regional Plan for CEKAL (Cameron Highlands–Kinta–Lojing). 

Currently, she serves at IIUM as a matriculation teacher and Mahallah Fellow, where she is actively involved in student development initiatives and university programs while contributing her professional insights in urban and regional planning.
