Expert Profile


Dr. Muhammad Haidar completed his undergraduate training at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) in 2012 and began his housemanship training in Hospital Duchess of Kent from 2012 to 2014. He continued his service to the hospital as a medical officer in the orthopaedic department from 2015 to 2016.  

He started his career in IIUM as a trainee lecturer/medical lecturer (Orthopaedics, Traumatology and Rehabilitation) at Hospital Tengku Ampuan Afzan (HTAA) and IIUM Medical Center (IIUMMC) in June 2016. He became a certified Orthopaedic Surgeon in 2020, after which he served at Sultan Ahmad Shah Medical Centre @IIUM. He furthered his subspecialty training in Arthroplasty and Joint Replacement Surgery in Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz (UKM), University Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC), and Hospital Universiti Sains Malaysia (HUSM). He completed his subspecialty training with fellowship training in Sports and Arthroscopic Surgery at Chiang Mai University. 

Currently he serves in Kulliyyah of Medicine and Sultan Ahmad Shah Medical Centre @IIUM as an orthopaedic and arthroplasty surgeon and lecturer.
