Expert Profile
Sr. Rositi Mashani binti Mohd Sani has been a dedicated educator at the Biology Department of CFS IIUM since 2005, accumulating 22 years of teaching experience. Holding a B.Sc. in Biochemistry and an M.Sc. in Food Science from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, she has taught both degree students at Management and Science University (MSU) for two years and foundation students at CFS IIUM for the past 20 years, focusing on Biology. In addition to her teaching role, Sr. Rositi has served in multiple leadership positions, including as an academic advisor for Pharmacy students and as an advisor for the MEDCY Society. She also held the position of Principal at Mahallah Zainab, CFS IIUM Petaling Jaya Campus, for two years and was a Fellow for six years, combining her passion for student welfare and extracurricular activities.
From 2020 to 2022, she served as the Head of the Social Club for the Department of Biology, and since 2023, she became the Course Coordinator in her department, managing the examination process and contributing to academic development. She is also part of the curriculum committee, helping to shape new courses in her department. Sr. Rositi has made significant contributions to numerous programs under the Centre for Foundation Studies, IIUM, and in 2020, she was the Director of the Ibadah Camp for year 2020. Her dedication to the community earned her several awards, including the Best Fellow, Best Hisbah, and CFS Murabbi Award in 2021.
Active in academic and research fields, Sr. Rositi has participated in conferences and competitions, winning medals in various events. She earned a Bronze Medal at the 2nd Inter Pre-University Matriculation Innovation Competition (PITRAM) at UPNM and two Silver Medals at the ICFSE2024 in CFS IIUM, Gambang, where as the sponsorship committee, she also secured RM20,000 sponsorship for that programme . She has also presented e-proceedings at national conferences, such as the 7th NPreUS at Kolej Universiti Islam Selangor (KUIS) in 2024. Furthermore, her team won a Bronze Medal at the Youth Innovation Competition (YIC 2025).
Sr. Rositi is also highly active in sports, participating in the CFS Staff Games 2023 and securing impressive victories: a Gold Medal in Petanque Triple Women, a Bronze Medal in Tenpin Bowling, and a Silver Medal in the CFS IIUM Petanque Pair Director Challenge in 2024. In celebration of Merdeka Day 2023, her team was awarded the title of Best Contingent in the Merdeka Parade at CFS IIUM, Gambang. Her diverse contributions in teaching, leadership, research, and extracurricular activities reflect her deep commitment to the growth and success of her students and her community.
