Dr. Ahmad Badruddin Ghazali is an Assistant Professor at the Kulliyyah of Dentistry, International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), specializing in oral and maxillofacial radiology, diagnostic imaging, and artificial intelligence in dentistry. He has served as an international visiting lecturer and adjunct professor at several institutions, including Universitas Brawijaya and Universitas Airlangga in Indonesia. His research focuses on AI-assisted dental imaging, including deep learning models for age estimation, TMJ classification, and intraoral radiograph error detection. Dr. Ahmad has played an active role in national policy development, contributing as an expert panelist for the Ministry of Health Malaysia in the formulation of updated radiation safety guidelines and dental records standardization under the National Oral Health Strategic Plan (NOHSP) 2022–2030. He is also a frequent speaker at regional and international dental radiology forums, reflecting his commitment to advancing digital dentistry, radiological safety, and dental education in Malaysia and beyond.
