Preface

Islamization is one of the main missions of the International Islamic University Malaysia and it aims at restructuring the thinking of modern Muslim thus producing high calibre of scholars, professionals and thinkers who are capable of carrying out the agenda for comprehensive development in the Muslim world. In order to create an integration between the revealed knowledge and the human sciences in the aspects of teaching, research and consultation, the department of Arabic Language and Literature, in its second international conference, chose to highlight the islamization agenda in Arabic language and literary studies with the aims of developing the methods and syllabus which are an integration between the Islamic traditional input and the modern linguistic and literary studies.
