The current situation on leading and social areas in many Muslim countries is deteriorating. There are many reasons could offered as pointed out by the many thinkers and scholars. Among them, political instability is one of the reasons which have resulted in bloodshed and anarchy among the Muslim nations. We have examples of Egypt, Libya, Yemen, Syria, Bahrain etc. However, if we look at the root cause for all these issues it is mainly due to the leadership failure. Many literates on leadership seem to suggest that is a need to focus on improving the quality of the leader, that is, character ethics of a leader. In the book, “The Leadership Challenge” written by Kouzes and Posner five leadership qualities have mention; among them Honesty, competency and inspiring are related to character ethic and currently most of the leaders of all the Muslim nations are lacking these character ethics.
